Robert Schuler

Senior Facility Designer

Robert Schuler is a seasoned facility designer with more than 27 years of experience in the field. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Woodbury University in Burbank, CA. With exceptional skills in architectural team leadership, engineering coordination and construction administration, Robert has worked with some of the world’s biggest entertainment brands.

During his tenure at Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale, CA, Robert played a vital role in the development of the original Disneyland California Adventure where he was the lead on several retail and restaurant projects and assisted on the development of Sorin’ Over California and Grizzly River Run. He later was the lead on Flik’s Fun Fair and the revitalization of Paradise Pier into Pixar Pier, which included the Incredicoaster and Inside Out attractions. In Shanghai Disneyland Resort he was the lead on Adventure Isle’ Roaring Rapids and Soaring Over the Horizon, as well as several area development amenities along with providing QAQC (Quality Control Quality Assurance) for multiple projects. In Disneyland, Robert was the architectural lead on the Advanced Works Team, making way for the development of Star Wars – Galaxy’s Edge. His work in Walt Disney World Resort – Epcot, was the architectural lead during the early phases of Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmic Rewind.   On Tokyo Disneyland R2 Expansion he coordinated interiors packages with architecture and structural engineering for several facilities, including the Peter Pan and Frozen attractions, as well as provided QAQC for two resort hotels.

Other notable projects Robert has led or contributed includes Warner Bros. Movie World -Spain, two NASCAR SpeedParks, and the first two concept retail stores for Lego Imagination Centers in Chicago and Downtown Disney Anaheim. 

Robert’s impressive track record is a testament to his expertise, leadership, and passion for delivering outstanding architectural designs for entertainment and commercial projects.
